The Next Best Thing: Steve Madden Karatz Sandals

This was one of those NBT’s that I came across completely by accident. I had gone over to Target to get a few things for my summer wardrobe and picked up a pair of “jeweled” flip flops. They have proven most comfortable and are definitely a step up from the plain old flip flops I had been sporting since my favorite pair of comfy-but-pretty flat sandals had blown a strap.
So, I was pleased to see the same shoes ( but by Steve Madden instead of Mossimo) staring back at me from the window of a chic shop in Sunset Plaza, where my family and I had enjoyed dinner at Cafe Med, one of the premiere Los Angeles people-watching spots. (Apparently Eva Longoria and Tony Parker had been in the night before, and Debbie, ahem, Deborah Gibson was in when we were there.) They have great food, too, check out the rigatoni with sausage if you’re ever in town.

Back to the shoes in the window . . . so, there they were in their sparkly blingness, and I said to my better half, “Those are just like my shoes from Target! But I only paid $19.99!”
So here they are below, my shoes, which in this summer weather go with just about everything in my wardrobe. So, you can get your Steve Maddens (which are very fabulous, let’s be honest) or you can get the next best thing . . .
